Introduction

With the environmental pollution and energy exhaustion getting worse, the demands of high-capacity, clean, and safe chemical power keep increasing. People have to develop new power system due to the heavy metal pollution of traditional lead-acid battery and the safety performance of lithium battery. Metal-air batteries have received much attention because of many advantages, such as high energy density, long cycle life, stable working voltage, economy, safety and environmental protection, and so on. The research topic mainly aims at developing high-capacity battery, especially VB2 air batteries. At the same time, we also pay attention to the development and application of magnesium air battery, aluminum air battery and lithium air battery, in order to accelerate metal air battery application in electric vehicles.
